Holocaust Survivor Calls For Schools To Teach History Of Genocide
(St. Paul, MN) — A Holocaust survivor is calling on lawmakers to require schools to teach the history of genocide. The 99-year-old woman testified before the House Education Policy Committee yesterday about the dangers of history repeating itself. The woman was 20-years-old when she and her family were shipped to the Auschwitz death camp in Poland, and were later moved to the Bergen-Belsen camp in northern Germany. She currently lives in St. Louis Park.
