Hundreds Of Thousands Of Minnesotans Rejected For Frontline Worker Pay
Pandemic-related bonus payments for frontline workers in the state is drastically lower. The state’s initial estimates of roughly 667-thousand workers applying for Frontline Worker Pay was exceeded by a large margin. Still, the 500-million dollar pot has to be split evenly, meaning the initial projection of 750-dollar bonus payments has been cut down to about 500-dollars. Meanwhile, the state is hearing appeals from about 214-thousand Minnesotans who were rejected for the payments.
