Jurors Convict Man Of Shooting During 2020 Standoff In Albert Lea

(Albert Lea, MN)  —  A man is found guilty of shooting several people including an Albert Lea police officer during an eight-hour standoff almost two years ago.  A Freeborn County jury convicted  22-year-old Devin Weiland yesterday on three counts of attempted murder and three counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.  The defendant’s sentencing is set for December 19th.
