In recognition of his five decades-long involvement with Maverick Athletics, Minnesota State Director of Athletics Kevin Buisman has announced that the department’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award recipient will be Casey Lloyd.

The award will be presented at this year’s Minnesota State Hall of Fame Ceremony, which is slated for the evening of Sept. 23 in the CSU Ballroom.

Inducted into the Minnesota State Athletics Hall of Fame in 1998, Lloyd began his broadcasting career as a student at MSU in 1970 and in addition to serving as the play-by-play announcer for Maverick football and men’s basketball games, he has also broadcast MSU baseball, hockey and women’s basketball games.
