Man Who Pled Guilty To Drive-By In Janesville To Be Sentenced Today
(Janesville, MN) — One of two men suspected of a drive-by shooting earlier this year in Janesville is scheduled to be sentenced this afternoon. William Peavy entered a plea deal in October when he pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous weapons drive-by shooting toward an occupied motor vehicle or building. The agreement also calls for the defendant to wear a GPS monitor during 45 days of probation, but sentencing will be up to the judge. Peavy and co-defendant Devonte Phillips were arrested for the crime that happened on July 26th near Janesville Bank. One person was shot during the drive-by but survived.
