Mankato Area Public Schools Announces Free Summer Meals Program for Children and Teens
Mankato Area Public Schools will again offer free, healthy meals to all children 18 years old and younger during the summer months. Meals are available Monday through Friday at several convenient locations throughout the community—no registration or identification is required.
Meal Site Locations and Dates
Opening June 9 – August 15

- West High School Annex (Lunch only)
Opening June 12 – August 15
- Eagle Lake Elementary
- East High School
- Franklin Elementary
- Hoover Elementary
- Rosa Parks Elementary
Meal Times
- Breakfast: 7:30–8:30 a.m. (All sites except West)
- Lunch: 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Rosa Parks: 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- West High School Annex: Lunch only (no breakfast served)
All sites will be closed on the following dates:
- June 19
- July 3 and 4
- East High School only: Closed August 6 and 7
These meals are made possible through the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program, ensuring children continue to receive nutritious meals while school is out of session. For more information, contact Mankato Area Public Schools’ Nutrition Services at 507-387-7588.
