Mankato Boy Recovering After Gun Safe Accident

A Mankato boy, Samuel Carver remains hospitalized after an accident involving a gun safe over the weekend. According to the fundraiser, Samuel was excited to help a family member with the new safe. Unaware that the safe was not yet secured, Samuel went to open the safe, causing it to fall on him.

A family member quickly got the safe off the child and performed CPR to get him breathing again. Samuel was flown to Rochester where he is currently hospitalized.

The GoFundMe is more than halfway to reaching its goal with over $6000 raised for the family.
