The Mankato Department of Public Safety is now accepting applications for Reserve Police Officers until February 14, 2025. This is a unique opportunity to serve and make a significant impact within the Mankato community.

Reserve Police Officers are trained volunteers who assist full-time officers in a variety of tasks to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. These dedicated individuals help with patrols (including foot, park, and trail patrols), community events, and traffic direction.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support: Provide crucial support to public safety staff.
  • Patrol Duties: Participate in foot, park, and trail patrols to maintain public safety.
  • Community Engagement: Assist with community events and strengthen the community relationship with public safety.
  • Traffic Management: Help direct traffic at events and emergencies.
