Mankato Department of Public Safety Accepting Applications for Reserve Police Officers
The Mankato Department of Public Safety is now accepting applications for Reserve Police Officers until February 14, 2025. This is a unique opportunity to serve and make a significant impact within the Mankato community.
Reserve Police Officers are trained volunteers who assist full-time officers in a variety of tasks to ensure the safety and well-being of the community. These dedicated individuals help with patrols (including foot, park, and trail patrols), community events, and traffic direction.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Support: Provide crucial support to public safety staff.
- Patrol Duties: Participate in foot, park, and trail patrols to maintain public safety.
- Community Engagement: Assist with community events and strengthen the community relationship with public safety.
- Traffic Management: Help direct traffic at events and emergencies.
