Mankato Public Safety Responds to Driving Complaint

Mankato-Public Safety responded to reports of multiple driving complaints on the same vehicle approximately 11:30 a.m., today (Tuesday, December 13). The suspect vehicle, a white four-door, SUV, was located in the Sibley Park area. Police officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but the driver led officers on a low-speed pursuit (about 20 miles per hour) for about 4.5 miles in the areas of Sibley Park, Carney Avenue and Moreland Avenue. 

Stop sticks were deployed at Rose Street and Carney Avenue and the vehicle continued on until it stopped in the 1300 block of South Riverfront Drive. The driver Chadwick John Larson, age 53 of North Mankato, was arrested without incident. Charges being requested are fleeing peace officer in motor vehicle, reckless driving and fifth-degree assault.
