Mankato Shooting Suspect Set to Appear in Court
The man suspected in Friday’s shooting in Mankato is facing charges of second-degree assault.
According to authorities, this past Saturday night, Mankato Public Safety arrested 30-year-old Bashir Mohamed in Mankato during a traffic stop.
He’s suspected of shooting another individual inside a Mankato apartment complex.
Authorities say the victim was shot in the hip and taken to the hospital for a non-life threatening injury.
You may recall that the shooting resulted in a shelter-in-place alert for the surrounding neighborhoods for Friday morning and early afternoon.
Mohamed is scheduled to appear in Blue Earth County Court on September 20th.
