Mankato Transit System Expands Service to North Mankato Starting January 13

The Mankato Transit System will begin expanded service to North Mankato on January 13, 2025. Service expansion provides an additional hour of service on weekdays and Saturdays for Fixed Route 5. In addition, Paratransit Service for North Mankato will now be available seven days a week.

Route 5 serves commercial, industrial, academic, and civic centers in North Mankato with a thirty-minute frequency beginning at the Cherry Street bus stop. The adjusted schedule will be:

• Weekdays: 6:05 a.m. to 6:05 p.m.
• Saturdays: 10:05 a.m. to 6:05 p.m.

These enhancements are part of the continued rollout of the Transit Development Plan with the goal of providing the best opportunities for riders in our service area.
