The Mankato YMCA will be hosting the “Biggest Youth Social Yet!” on March 18 th

from 7pm – 9:30pm. The Youth Social is open to members and non-members who are in

grades 2-5; the cost is $15. The social provides an opportunity for youth to come together

while enjoying structured activities in a safe place.

“We’ve restructured the Youth Social program so that we can do 2 massive socials instead of
multiple smaller ones,” said Dustin Slaughter, Director of Youth Activities at the Y. “I am so
excited to bring back our well-known ‘Spooktacular’ Youth Social in October and begin creating
this new staple of ‘YPalooza’ which will take place each March. We’ve also adjusted the age
range so now Youth Socials are available for kids in grades 2-5.”
YPalooza will have carnival games, two inflatables, gaga ball, nerf war, music, glow-in-the-dark
activities, swimming and crafts. The event will also have concessions for purchase and prizes
that will be given away throughout the night. A concession card can be purchased for $5 and
lanyards are also available for purchase for $1.
Families can pre-register their youth for the event online at mankatoymca.org or at the door on
March 18 th . More information can also be found on the Mankato Family YMCA Facebook page.
“Grab your friends and come on down to the Y,” exclaims Slaughter. “You won’t want to miss
this one!”
