Minneapolis Fed President: Interest Rates May Go Above 4.75%
(Minneapolis, MN) — A top Federal Reserve official believes interest rates could hit five-percent if inflation doesn’t slow down. Speaking spoke at the Women Corporate Directors, Minnesota Chapter, Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari [[ cash-car-E ]] noted progress on inflation isn’t been seen yet. As a result, he doesn’t see himself pushing for a stop to interest rate hikes even if the rate reaches four-point-seven-five percent. The Fed has been steadily raising interest rates over the past few months in a bid to slow down inflation.
