MN air travel expert on Biden’s call for more transparent pricing
The White House is proposing rules to make airline fees more transparent. A new plan from the Biden administration would require airlines and travel agencies online to disclose fees for seat selection, checked baggage, and other add-ons. Kyle Potter with Thrifty Traveler says that’s a big deal with a big caveat…
“The big deal is that if enacted it would be you know by far the most significant change that we’ll see in the ways that Americans search for and book air travel in at least a decade probably quite a bit longer than that.”
Potter says however if the change does happen, it’s likely going to be at many months or probably several years before the changes are implemented.
