MN Department of Health Launches COVID-19 Telehealth Treatment Pilot Program
The Minnesota Department of Health is out with a new COVID-19 telehealth treatment pilot program. M-D-H spokeswoman Erin McLachlan says Minnesotans can download the Cue Health app for free and have a virtual consultation:
“So If you have any COVID test, you don’t need their COVID test, if you test positive for COVID you can snap a picture of it and then you can call them and talk to a doctor to see if you’re eligible for an oral anti-viral which most likely would be Paxlovid.”
McLachlan says an oral anti-viral can make someone with COVID symptoms feel much better. She says the program is aimed at taking pressure off crowded hospitals and the health care system.
