(St. Paul, MN)  —  National reading and math scores for Minnesota’s fourth and eighth-graders are the lowest they have been in decades.  The National Assessment of Educational Progress released the 2022 report yesterday showing a significant drop in Minnesota students’ reading and math scores compared to past years.  Minnesota students’ scores were above the national average in most areas.  A Minnesota Department of Education spokesperson told 5 Eyewitness News that the results reflect the disruptions experienced during the pandemic.
