New Education Commissioner Confirmed
The Minnesota Senate has confirmed Governor Tim Walz’s new Education Commissioner, Willie Jett, on a bipartisan vote of 51-to-13. Republican Steve Drazkowski voted “no.”
Drazkowski says he wants to make sure Commissioner Jett takes that seriously. Fellow Republican Michael Kreun from Blaine says he had conversations with the new commissioner about high academic and behavioral standards in public schools, building trust with families and enhancing trades in public schools
