Nicollet County Sheriff Investigating Thursday Night Incident

On May 8, 2026, at 10:14 PM, Lafayette ambulance was requested at 780 Main Avenue in the City of Lafayette for an adult patient with a wound on the back of their head. Assisting with the call was the Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office and Sibley County Sheriff’s Office. Patient was transported to New Ulm Medical Center and later on to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The Nicollet County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the circumstance and there is no known threat to the public.
