Nicollet County’s Project Community Connect This Thursday, August 6, 1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Nicollet County’s Public Health Department announces a free event dedicated to supporting individuals and families facing financial challenges. Its mission is to foster a healthier and stronger community by providing access to essential resources and support. The event will take place on Thursday, August 6 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the St. Peter Community Center, 600 S 5th St, St Peter, MN.
With many area providers participating, attendees will have access to a wide range of services and resources, including:
A Teddy Bear Clinic, including a free stuffed animal provided by Nicollet County Public Health
Financial assistance, including MA renewal
Medical services
Haircuts
The Shoe Bus
Free personal care items
Free lunches, while supplies last
Transportation services are available in St. Peter: Minnesota River Valley Transit (MRVT) (888) 880-4696 to schedule a ride. TRUE Transit provides door-to-door transportation Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with fares starting at just $4 per ride. Reservations are required and can be made online at truetransit.org or by calling (507) 388-8783.
