North Mankato search warrant leads to arrest of suspect along with seizure of firearm, narcotics

On Wednesday August 3rd, 2022, agents from the MN River Valley Drug Task Force and officers from the North Mankato Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on the 800 block of Lyndale Ave in North Mankato. 

As a result of the warrant, Chase S. James, age 37, of North Mankato was taken into custody on suspicion of possession of narcotics and possession of a firearm by a felon. James is currently being held at the Nicollet County Jail awaiting formal charges. 

“These actions are the result of area residents submitting tips about suspicious activity in their neighborhood,” says North Mankato Police Chief Ross Gullickson, “It’s a perfect example of how being aware of neighborhood activity and working with law enforcement can help keep neighborhoods safe.”
