Officer Sentenced In Floyd Case
(Minneapolis, MN) — One of the former Minneapolis police officers convicted of violating George Floyd’s civil rights is being sentenced to three years in prison. Thomas Lane pleaded guilty to a charge of aiding and abetting second-degree murder in the death of Floyd in 2020. Lane was already sentenced to serve two-and-a-half years in federal prison back in July for violating Floyd’s civil rights. Due to that sentence already being imposed, Lane appeared for this latest sentence from a prison in Colorado.
