Volunteers will be at the Salvation Army’s Northern Division headquarters tomorrow (Tues), wrapping and packing toys for the annual “Prison Toy Lift.”  Spokesman Dan Furry says an incarcerated parent can choose a gift for their child from a small catalog:

“We wrap the gifts,… we mail ’em out to the families… and they’re addressed like they’re coming from their parents, not from the Salvation Army.”

The Prison Toy Lift was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.  It resumed in North Dakota prisons in 2021 and is now resuming in Minnesota correctional facilities.  The Salvation Army has run the Toy Lift program for over 30 years.
