Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says voter turnout was good for Tuesday’s primary election. Roughly 18-percent of eligible Minnesota voters turned. We asked Simon if that could be an indicator of turnout for the general election in November…

“I say no because there are examples just in the last 10 years where turnout was really really low in the primary election in August but in the general election we were number one in the country so they’re really disconnected they’re really two totally different kinds of creatures.”

The general election this year is on November 8th.
