Sen. Smith in Mankato Oct. 6
Today U.S. Senator Tina Smith (D-Minn.) will travel to Mankato for two events. The first event will be a tour of the Kasota Prairie Community Solar Garden to discuss the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act for the local clean energy economy. Senator Smith was a leader in passing this bill into law this summer, and it is the single largest investment in climate and clean energy in American history.
The second event will be a roundtable at the Pioneer Bank Community Room in Mankato. The Senator will lead a discussion on the Rural Development Title of the Farm Bill. The discussion will be focused on gathering feedback from stakeholders on improvements that can be made for the next Farm Bill. This visit is part of the statewide listening sessions the Senator and her staff are hosting across Minnesota to prepare for the upcoming Farm Bill.
