South Central College to Host Events for High School Students During Minnesota State Month
October is Minnesota State Month, a time to recognize the value of public colleges and universities such as South Central College (SCC). Throughout the month, South Central College will host a series of events to help high school students explore their higher education options. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to attend.
All events will be held concurrently at both SCC campuses located at 1225 Third Street SW in Faribault and 1920 Lee Boulevard in North Mankato.
PSEO Information Session
Tuesday, Oct. 8, 6 –7 p.m.
High school sophomores, juniors and seniors can discover how to earn college credit while still in high school through the Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program. The session will cover eligibility, application steps and the benefits of starting college early.
MEA Campus Visit Days
Wednesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Students are invited to stop by South Central College during MEA Break to learn about the college’s academic programs and student services, get all their college questions answered, and pick up a complimentary gift.
Campus Tours
Available by appointment throughout October
SCC will offer personalized one-hour campus tours all month long. Visitors will get a firsthand look at college life at SCC, connect with program faculty and receive guidance on the admissions process. Each guest will also receive a free SCC T-shirt.
