Stearns County Officials Investigating Sauk River Drowning

(Stearns County, MN)  —  Stearns County officials are investigating after a man drowned in the Sauk River.  Officials say 69-year-old Lee Ellwein went into the water Sunday afternoon to retrieve a boat lift cover and didn’t resurface.  Ellwein was pulled from the river by rescue crews, but lifesaving efforts weren’t successful.  Officials say Ellwein was under the water for 15 to 20 minutes.
