Teen Killed In Weekend Dakota County Crash

(Vermillion, MN)  —  A 17-year-old is dead and two others are injured after a crash in Dakota County.  The crash happened Saturday afternoon in the area of 160th Street East and Freeborn Avenue in Vermillion Township.  Officials say a Toyota Corolla slowed down to make a left turn and was rear-ended by a Jeep driven by a 49-year-old woman from Hastings.  The Corolla was pushed into oncoming traffic and was hit head-on by a van.  Rodrigo Dooley was ejected from the Corolla and died at the scene.  The driver of the Jeep and a woman riding in the Corolla suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
