NORTH MANKATO — Amy Klobuchar made a stop at Kato Engineering in North Mankato last Wednesday, March 27, part of a statewide tour of businesses across Southern Minnesota, including New Ulm, Winthrop and Waseca. Klobuchar made time to speak to the press while at Kato Engineering, a subsidiary of NIDEC, who makes large scale electric generators and alternators, including several for the United States Military. Klobuchar took a tour of the shop facilities before joining executives at NIDEC and Andy Wilke, Executive Vice President of Greater Mankato Growth Inc. to talk about the importance of the work they do at Kato Engineering.
