It’s going to start feeling like winter in Minnesota after several warm days.  National Weather Service Meteorologist Nick Carletta says temperatures will fall into the 20s and 30 statewide and some areas are getting snow:

“Across basically the southern half of the state you’ll see maybe a couple of flakes fall but it’s really not going to accumulate anywhere.  As you head farther north especially in the northwestern part of the state like Thief River Falls, Roseau, International Falls. That’s the area where we could see some significant amounts of snow accumulation.”

High winds could cause blowing snow and low visibility in the northwest. Carletta says the recent rainfall could freeze up in parts of the state this weekend.
