(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is advocating for the rights of workers in a lawsuit against Target-owned Shipt.  Ellison filed suit against the company yesterday, accusing the grocery delivery business of cheating workers out of benefits and rights.  Workers for the business are classified as independent contractors, which Ellison says strips them of protections and benefits provided in a normal workplace.  Washington DC’s attorney general filed a similar suit against the company earlier in the day.  Shipt says it will fight both suits.
