(Minneapolis, MN)  —  Minnesota school districts are working to hire and retain teachers as a shortage worsens.  Education Minnesota officials say they have just over 5o0 openings, with most being in special education.  Minneapolis Public Schools officials say the district has 300 open positions throughout the system.  The shortage is part of a nationwide trend, after many educators left their positions during the pandemic.
