Students at Mankato East High School are excited to announce that they will be tapping silver maple trees for wildlife ecology today and Friday in their school forest located on the north side of the track/football field.

Thanks to a generous $1,000 Educare grant, the school was able to purchase the necessary supplies to carry out this project. This hands-on learning experience is a part of the school’s partnership with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources through the School Forest program.
