Blue Earth County is planning to reconstruct County State Aid Highway (CSAH)  69 from Pintail Street to US Highway 169/MN Highway 60 near the intersection of Le Hillier Street.

The public is invited to an open house from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Blue Earth County Public Works Office located at 35 Map Drive, Mankato. The purpose of the open house is to share the planning work done so far and solicit comments from the public.

The road from Pintail Street to the junction of CSAH 33 and US HWY 169 will be a bituminous mill and overlay. The road from the junction of CSAH 33 and US 169 to the junction of CSAH 69 and US 169 will have new bituminous pavement, 12′ driving lanes, 4-6′ shoulders, curb and gutter, and will be a 10-ton design. A 10-foot multi-use trail will be constructed on the north side of the road from CSAH 33 South and run east to the intersection of US 169. The design will improve safety by improving horizontal and vertical curves, providing pedestrian access along the roadway, and adjusting access control.

Design finalization and right of way acquisition for the project will occur in the summer/fall of 2025 with utility relocations and reconstruction occurring in 2026.
