North Mankato Fire responds to structure fire with reported injuries
On September 19th, 2025, at 5:26 a.m. the North Mankato Fire Department and North Mankato Police Department were dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire at 524 Lyndale Ave. Initial reports indicated that people were still inside the structure.
Upon arrival, officers observed heavy flames and smoke visible from the second story of the structure.
Officers were able to assist in the evacuation of four (4) occupants with no injuries. Fire units arrived on scene and made entry into the structure and evacuated an adult female (age 41) and juvenile female (age 12) with severe burns.
Both patients were transported to MCHS Mankato and then flown to Hennepin County Medical Center-Minneapolis to be treated for their injuries. Their current status is unknown.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the MN State Fire Marshal’s Office, the North Mankato Fire Department, and the North Mankato Police Department.
