Belle Plaine Man Hospitalized after Semi Crash

A Belle Plaine man was hospitalized after a collision with a semi in Faxon Township.

On January 17th, 2025 at 2:20 PM, Sibley County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a reported Semitruck versus passenger accident on 261st Avenue (CR 14) near 182nd Street, Faxon Township. Benjamin Vogel (41) of Belle Plaine, was driving a 2008 Honda Odyssey southbound on CR 14 when it collided with a 2014 Mack semitruck. The Mack was driven by Troy Stebens (51) of Prior Lake. Stebens was travelling northbound on CR 14 at the time of the crash. Vogel was transported by ambulance to a local hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.
