Belle Plaine Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash Saturday
On July 18th, 2026 at 12:37 PM, the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle crash on Scenic Byway Road, just south of the Faxon Road intersection, in Faxon Township. Michael Sipes (47) of Belle Plaine was operating a 2011 Harley Davidson Touring, when he lost control conducting a turning maneuver, to travel southbound on Scenic Byway Road, resulting in a crash. Sipes was the single occupant on the motorcycle. Sipes was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. It was reported Sipes was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
