The Children’s Museum of Southern Minnesota recently established a new community  partnership with Feeding Our Community Partners (FOCP) through their Summer Pack  Food Program. The Museum worked with FOCP and provided a One-Day Family Free  Pass for each of the 1000 food packages distributed in June.

Kim Kleven, Vice President of Education and Learning Experience said, “These passes  give families who may otherwise not have an opportunity to experience the joy and fun  of the Children’s Museum. We are proud to distribute these passes as we continue  toward our mission of providing ways and places for children to play.”

Leaders from the FOCP program also expressed their gratitude of the partnership with  the Children’s Museum.

“From our volunteers to the students we serve, all were so excited about the Family Pass  included in the box delivery. We had a dozen families pick up their items onsite at FOCP.  When we showed them the pass their faces lit up! One family from Mapleton said they  rarely come into town, but for this they definitely would make the trip,” said Lori  Wollmuth, Community Relations Manager with FOCP. “Your thoughtful partnership  brought smiles and kindness to so many families and children. I am so grateful we were  able to connect and turn this wonderful idea into fruition.”
