College Softball

NSIC Quarterfinals,

5^th seed Augstana beats 4^th seed Minnesota State 15-14

MSU was up 9-7 heading into the top of the 6^th when the Vikings would score 5 in the 6^th and 3 in the 7^th to go up 15-9. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7^th, Hannah Tong (Sophomore from Stacy MN) would hit a grand slam, and Izzy Hycnar  (JR from Phoenix AZ) would add a solo shot, to pull MSU within 1.  MSU wraps up the season with a 33-22 record

 

UMAC Tournament opening round

2^nd seed Bethany 2, 3^rd seed UW Superior 0. Vikings are now 30-9, and will face Northwestern (St Paul) in the Winners bracket in St Paul at 11 today

 

College Baseball

NSIC Conference tournament in Sioux Falls

2^nd seed Minnesota State 15, 6^th seed Winona State 8. Mavericks were down 7-1 heading into the bottom of the 4^th, Mavericks would trail 7-6 in the bottom of the 7^th when they would score 3 runs, and then add a 6 spot in the bottom of the 8^th. MSU is now 39-12 and will face Top seed Augustana in the Winners bracket final at noon today in Sioux Falls.

 

UMAC Tournament opening round

Top seed Bethany 15, 4^th seed Minnesota Morris 5. Vikings are now 29-6, and will host UW Superior at 3 today

Boys and Girls Track and Field

LCWM Meet (5 teams), On the Boys side, LCWM/Nicollet won the meet, JWP/WEM took 5^th. On the Girls Side, TCU took 1^st, LCWM/Nicollet-2^nd, and JWP/WEM placed 5th
