Commissioner Kevin Paap Appointed to the Board of Soil and Water Resources by the Governor’s Office
The Office of the Governor announced Blue Earth County Commissioner Kevin Paap’s appointment to the Board of Soil and Water Resources. The appointment is effective April 1, 2026 through January 7, 2030.
The Board of Water and Soil Resources works to improve and protect Minnesota’s water and soil resources by working in partnership with local organizations and private landowners. The agency is responsible for accomplishing various land and water protection, habitat restoration, and clean water programs and projects in collaboration with local governments statewide.
Commissioner Paap currently serves on the local Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Board, the Greater Blue Earth River Basin Alliance and LeSueur River, Minnesota River, Watonwan and Blue Earth One Watershed One Plan Policy Committees. Commissioner Paap also currently represents the Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) on the Drainage Work Group and serve on the AMC Board as the chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee.
