Curiosi-Tea House Announces Spring 2025 Closure
Curiosi-Tea House announced plans to close their North Mankato location sometime in Spring of 2025. In a post on their Facebook page, owner Heidi Wyn announced the news:
“It is with mixed feelings that I announce the closing of our North Mankato location by the Spring of 2025. We have a pending offer to purchase the property, and with that news and all the increases (property taxes, insurance, wages, product, expected tariffs on tea and shipping costs etc.) coming at us from every direction, we will be scaling back our hours after the holidays.
January Hours: Closed January 1st-7th
Wednesday – Friday 9am-5:30pm | Saturday 9am-4pm
We hope that those hours will accommodate your tea and dining needs.
Since we will be ordering tea and accessories for the Winona location,
we will continue to sell retail items until the doors finally close.
It was over eleven years ago that Curiosi-Tea House began popping up at vendor markets. September 2014, we opened on Riverfront Drive in Old Town Mankato, and in 2018 moved to Commerce Drive in upper North Mankato and then purchased our Winona location in 2020.
We appreciated your patronage all these years and feel blessed that our neighbors, family and friends have supported what we offered by way of tea, food and experiences.
It was very much a passion project and family run endeavor and I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish.
Our Winona location run by my daughter Kyra, will remain open, and we are excited to look at increasing our food offerings as we close the North Mankato shop. If you ever get that direction, please do stop in and check out our space there. We will run some inventory reduction sales, but then will move most things over to Winona.
I need to offer a huge THANK YOU for all your support for all of these years! I am very grateful for every time you ventured through our doors and for the word of mouth that helped us grow. It is sad to see this chapter of Curiosi-Tea House close, but also exciting for the challenge and adventure of next things.
I also need to give an extra shout out to Alex, Kyra, Joel, and all the Curiosi-Tea House staff for helping me get through the pandemic and also for stepping up this fall after my knee injury. I couldn’t have done it without you!!
With much gratitude, Heidi Wyn”
