Efforts to Prevent Homelessness Among Minnesota Veterans Working

Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Larry Herke says efforts to prevent homelessness among Minnesota veterans are working.  Herke says the veterans omnibus bill passed by the legislature is a big help:

“This important legislation provided funds to assist in housing critically homeless veterans, some of these veterans with the very highest barriers, so that every veteran can have a place to call home.”

Commissioner Herke says the numbers are going down and Minnesota’s goal is to become the fourth state to end veteran homelessness.
