Firearms deer season opens this weekend
Saturday marks the opening of the firearms deer season. The DNR’s Barb Keller reminds hunters to put safety first:
“Be sure of your target. Know what’s beyond your target. Let your family members know where you are going.”
Keller says deer populations continue to be at or even above the DNR’s goals in much of northwestern, central, and southeastern Minnesota
