Introduction to Computer Basics at the Blue Earth County Library System
The Blue Earth County Library System (BECLS) is excited to announce a new series, “Introduction to Computer Basics,” with Minnesota State University Archives Technician and Adjunct Leah Zacate.
This is a three-session series designed to introduce individuals ages 18+ to the basics of computer utilization. Participants will learn everything from how to use a mouse to how complete a simple Google search. No computer experience is required! Each session builds on the previous session, so it’s best for complete beginners to attend all three sessions – or at least the first session – if possible.
The sessions will take place in the Blue Earth County Library Auditorium on Tuesdays, November 18, November 25, and December 2, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. For those who wish to attend, please note that registration is required as we have a limited supply of laptops available. Individuals who plan to bring their own laptops do not need to register, but please be aware that we’re learning how to navigate Windows software, which is not available on Apple computers.
Registration can be done on the Blue Earth County website (www.beclibrary.org) or by calling (507) 304-4023.
This series received funding support from a grant through the Traverse des Sioux Library System.
