Love Your Age Vine’s 55+ Expo September 16th
The Love Your Age VINE’s 55+ Expo presented by Monarch Healthcare Management will be held on Tuesday, September 16 from 1-4 p.m. at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center in downtown Mankato.
Attendees can visit with over 90 vendors, collect goodies, play games, socialize with peers, and sign up for door prizes. The expo will also offer free health assessments including blood pressure checks and balance assessments provided by VINE’s staff and MSU-Mankato College of Nursing staff and students. Blue Earth County Public Health will offer a flu vaccination clinic at the expo. Attendees can also participate in a collaborative art project, making greeting cards that can be used by attendees or sent to VINE’s isolated care receivers, to help spread joy to older adults in our community.
The expo’s speaker series will be held from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Banquet Hall and include a variety of entertainment and educational presentations.
- 1:30-2 p.m.: VINE Stompers performance
- 2:15-3 p.m.: “Healthy Eating as You Age” by Daeshaundra Popp, Monarch Healthcare Management Registered Dietitian
- 3:15-3:45 p.m.: Chair Yoga Exercise Class
- 4-4:30 p.m.: “Aging in Place” by Mikayla Vogel, River’s Edge Hospital Occupational Therapist
The Love Your Age VINE’s 55+ Expo is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Mankato Civic Center Ramp and 2-hour on-street parking is available near the Civic Center.
