Mankato Police investigating shooting on South Victory Drive

On Thursday, June 12, at approximately 11:26 p.m., Mankato Police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of South Victory Drive following reports of multiple gunshots. When officers arrived they found an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was taken by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, where he is being treated for his injuries.

During the course of the investigation officers discovered additional damage to the building that is consistent with gunfire. Preliminary findings suggest the victim was specifically targeted, and investigators do not believe this was a random act.
