Mankato resident arrested in arson investigation
43 year old Dennis Joel Murray is in custody, facing 1st degree arson and 1st degree criminal damage to property charges for his alleged involvement in a recent apartment fire at 221 East Walnut Street.
Murray was arrested Thursday following a joint police and fire investigation into the March 26 apartment fire.
All residents were safely evacuated and then later allowed to return to their apartments after the fire was extinguished. The second floor apartment where the fire occurred remains unlivable.
Murray is being held in the Blue Earth County jail and the charges are being requested through the Blue Earth County Attorney’s Office.
