Mankato River Ramble Rides Again
Greater Minnesota’s biggest bike ride, the Mankato River Ramble will hit the road this Sunday, October 9, with scenic tours of 12, 26, and 42 miles. This beloved autumn ride features the beautiful Minnesota River Valley and surprising sights like the beauty of Minneopa and Minnemishinona parks. A great ride for all ages.
The Ramble is a community-wide celebration for cyclists, music lovers, and foodies of all ages and attracts riders from across Minnesota and the surrounding states. In fact, some families have three generations of riders participating on Sunday. The Ramble features five Rest Stops with live music (like the Lost Walleye Orchestra, Gold Dust Duo, and Nate Boots), great baked goods (feast your eyes on 150 homemade baked pies at Rapidan Dam), and lovely fall colors just starting to peak.
Media is invited to the Rest Stops at Minneopa State Park, Rapidan Dam, Lake Crystal, and Minnemishinona Falls, as well as the ride start/finish at Land of Memories Park. Media is invited to photograph and interview riders and volunteers at the ride’s start and finish, as well as at any of the food or music-filled rest stops.
The Mankato River Ramble is an annual fundraiser for the Greater Mankato Bike & Walk Advocates and the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. The Ramble has generated over $100,000 to fund bicycle education programs, build mountain bike trails and add infrastructure including dozens of bicycle racks and directional signage. Beyond infrastructure, we’ve helped Key City Bike purchase a space to recycle and restore hundreds of bikes each year.

Same-day ride registration is available at Land of Memories Park (100 Amos Owen Lane, Mankato, MN 56001) beginning at 8 a.m. There also is a student discount with school ID, for ages 18 to 22, for the price of $20.
