Mankato Suspect pleads guilty in Feeding our Future fraud case

Another defendant in the Feeding Our Future fraud case is pleading guilty.

Asad Abshir pleaded guilty yesterday to one count of money laundering in federal court in Minneapolis. Prosecutors say the defendant claimed that he served over a million meals from a restaurant in Mankato and fraudulently stole millions in federal aid.

Abshir’s co-defendant goes on trial next month.
