The Mayo Clinic is using American Diabetes Month in November to raise awareness about the disease.  Doctor Andrew Storm says one out of four Americans with diabetes don’t know that they have it:

“If you have unexplained fatigue, or blurry vision, if you’re often urinating or always thirsty , you can read more about diabetes at Mayo Clinic-dot-org.  but go to your local primary care doctor and let them know that you’re having these symptoms.”

Storm says diabetes slowly causes damage to the kidneys, eyes, heart, brain, or anything in your body with blood vessels.   About eight percent of Minnesota adults are living with diabetes.
