The Minnesota Golf Association is reporting a five-point-four percent decline in rounds of golf at courses across the state in 2022.   M-G-A executive director Tom Ryan says their survey shows it was still a strong season:

“The really important thing to note from that number of five percent down over last year is how much we were over and up the last two years since COVID. So in real numbers overall were down probably only about 300 rounds per facility which isn’t bad.”

Ryan says rounds were up 30 percent in 2020 and five percent overall in 2021.  He says the golf season got off to a slow start due to rain and cold temperatures in April and May.
